UPPER DIR: Two children and a woman were killed and eight others injured when a van fell into a deep ravine in Daskor area of Wari tehsil here on Monday.

The police said that a vehicle with passengers on board was going from Wari to Gorai.

They said that when the vehicle reached Daskor area the driver lost control over the wheel. As a result, the van plunged into a deep gorge, killing three persons on the spot and injuring eight others. The injured were shifted to Wari hospital. Condition of two of the injured was stated to be critical.

The victims were identified as Tajuddin, Waliullah and wife of Bashir.
