Govt is not afraid of opposition tactics: governor

LAHORE: Governor Chaudhry Sarwar says the government is not afraid of opposition joining hands and that accountability would not stop at any cost.

“Anyone involved in corruption or any other grave crime will not be spared,” he said.

The governor said the decision of launching “Successful Youth Program” worth Rs100 billion was a gift for the youth from the PTI government. “We will utilise all our resources to empower the youth and provide them with necessary opportunities to earn their respectable livelihood,” the governor said.

The governor said overseas Pakistanis were an asset for Pakistan and added that the federal and provincial governments including state institutions were striving to end their problems and assimilate their potential into national resources.

The governor was speaking at a meeting with Salman Raza, Fareeha Arshad, Pir Syed Nazim Hussain and party delegations from different districts and overseas Pakistanis.

Mr Sarwar said the government was currently paying attention to get this country out of the economic crisis and the nation would see its results in a few months.
