KARACHI: Patrician Club beat Usman Club 45-39 in the opening match of Mehmood Ahmed Khan Trophy Basketball tournament being organized by KBBA in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Welfare Association at Arambagh Basketball courts on May 16.

Main scorer for the winners was Richard 18 points who led the team’s success with good support from Handy Larkin and De Souza 10 points each.

Hassan Iqbal 10 points, Sharif and Hamza scored nine points each for the losers.

Deputy Commissioner South Syed Salahudin Ahmed, who was the chief guest on the occasion, declared open the event.

Meh­mood Ahmed Khan, Commodore Saqib, Khalid Jameel Shamsi, and KBBA president Ghulam Muhammad Khan and former international player Abdul Nasir were also present on the occasion.
