From The Past Pages Of Dawn: 1969: Fifty Years Ago: Quick response!

ISLAMABAD: Iran’s Prime Minister, Mr Amir Abbas Hoveida, in a quick response to a Pakistani request yesterday [May 14] ordered immediate dispatch of Iranian vocational training and literacy experts to Pakistan.

According to an official spokesman, the request was made by Air Marshal Nur Khan, Deputy Chief Martial Law Administrator and Member of the Council of Administration, when he met the Iranian Premier last evening. The Air Marshal told the Premier that Pakistan needed experts in vocational training and literacy to achieve her objectives in the field of education. Mr Hoveida, the spokesman said, immediately telephoned his Government in Teheran and the experts would be arriving in Pakistan in a day or two. — Agency

[Meanwhile, as reported by an agency in Dacca,] The Government of East Pakistan is learnt to have lodged a strong protest with the Government of Tripura against the wanton killing of Pakistani nationals. According to latest reports received here, an Indian border security forces patrol party of Matinagar border outpost, P.S. Sonampura, fired one round and killed a Pakistani national, Abed Ali of Matinagar, P.S. Kotwali, district Comilla at about 1600 hours on May 10, near the Comilla-Tripura border, and took away the body. It may be mentioned here that it is the third killing of Pakistani nationals by the BSF personnel during this month.
