Federal board website not working

ISLAMABAD: The website of Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) could not be accessed on Wednesday, causing problems to students.

Several parents approached Dawn to register their complaints.

They said the FBISE website was not working in various areas, such as Rawalpindi near old Airport, Margalla Town, G-7 sector, etc.

Currently, annual examination of intermediate are underway and students have been checking the website to know the paper pattern and model papers, as FBISE this year has changed the syllabus.

Parents and subsequently Dawn made several attempts to open the website but remained unsuccessful. The main page of website carried this message: “The site can’t be reached.”

When contacted, FBISE officials said the website was working. A senior officer of the board said after receiving complaints, he checked the website on his mobile phone and found no issue. “Website is working, there is no issue,” he said.

FBISE public relation officer Syed Akthar Shah said that website was working.

FBISE is main board of the country, which conducts examination of Pakistani students settled aboard in several countries.

While its state of the art website, which also has a chat-room for live conversations to get answers of queries, is major source of information for students.
