No power loadshedding at Sehar, Iftar

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced smooth power supply at Sehar, Iftar and during Taraweeh prayers.

Pesco chief executive officer Dr Mohammad Amjad told journalists on Monday that following the federal government’s policy, Pesco had devised a comprehensive plan to overcome

the power shortage, control the line losses and provide uninterrupted power supply to the consumers during Ramazan.

He said a centralised controlled room had been established at the Wapda House Peshawar under his supervision to take timely action in case of any issue anywhere in the province.

He said all the superintending engineers, sub-divisional officers and executive engineers had been assigned special duties in their respective jurisdictions to closely monitor the power transmission system and address consumers’ complaints.

The Pesco chief warned that in case of any negligence action would be taken against the relevant officials.

Meanwhile, The Tribal Electric Supply Company has also assured its consumers that there would

be no power cuts during Ramazan except in the areas where smooth supply was impossible on technical grounds.
