Polio drops

I WOULD like to know if the Sindh and federal governments have allowed schools in the province to forcefully inoculate our children.

I understand that we need to vaccinate them frequently to keep the poliovirus at bay — but I don’t understand why the police get involved. I have heard of cases where a magistrate shows up at the door steps as well.

My child’s school management called me over the weekend — when my child is not at school — to get her vaccinated. I am not against vaccinating my child now or ever, but I just don’t understand why these drastic measures are necessary.

Would it not be better to have an informative workshop instead?
