Four CDA officials suspended

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday suspended four officials for false reporting on Pakistan Citizens Portal.

The suspended officials are director land Fareeduddin, assistant director Inayatullah, sub-assistants land directorate Mohammad Ikram and Mohammad Ishaque.

Sources in the CDA said a few days ago the Prime Minister Office had written to CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed to take action against the officials for falsely declaring on the dashboard of the portal that the complaint of a citizen had been resolved.

“Let me bring into your notice one such case which pertains to possession of a five marla plot at Model Town Humak. In Nov 2018, a complaint was lodged on the Pakistan Citizens Portal which after being routed through various offices was reported resolved on the dashboard of the DG Land and Rehabilitation Directorate on 29th January 2019 without providing actual relief to the complainant or reaching any logical conclusion,” said the letter.

The non-cooperative attitude and delaying tactics of the officials concerned as reported by the citizen were also ascertained by the staff of the prime minister’s delivery unit who accompanied the citizen a number of times.

The CDA chairman was directed to proceed against the officers and submit a compliance report within two weeks.

“Today, we have suspended the officials,” said an official of the CDA.
