CCE exam centre

THERE is uncertainty over the Combined Competitive Examinations 2019 centre, which has left the candidates in a fix. The recent Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) press release on its website states that all CCE papers will be held at Hyderabad instead of Karachi, Sukkur and Larkana.

All candidates have been advised to plan accordingly. Candidates belonging to far-flung rural areas feel helpless over this decision. What was the purpose of giving candidates an opportunity to choose centres if all papers were to be conducted at Hyderabad only?

The SPSC reserves the right to change the examination centre, but keeping in view the candidates’ financial and mental agony, it should reconsider its decision. It can also consider postponing the examinations until a solution is found.

THE Combined Competitive Examination aspirants have been confused and wonder whether Sindh Public Service Commission will conduct the examinations from April 24 in a wedding hall in Hyderabad on time. Many students have shown their reservations regarding the SPSC’s one-center policy. They face issues like accommodation for a week in a new city. This situation is a distraction from their studies.

It has become a usual affair that the SPSC takes such decisions at the eleventh hour. The SPSC should come out with a clear-cut stance on this, thus giving relief to the candidates.
