Bid to smuggle narcotics foiled

RAWALPINDI: A couple was caught with 890 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ice heroin) packed in bread during check-in of passengers for Muscat at Islamabad International Airport on Monday.

According to airport sources, the check-in of passengers for Muscat was in progress when Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) stopped the couple as they were suspiciously carrying bread in their hand.

The ANF staff’s search led to the recovery of 890 grams of ice heroin concealed in the bread.

The couple was taken into custody by the ANF and later shifted to the police station for further legal proceeding.
