Four Iranian soldiers freed: ISPR
KARACHI: In an intelligence-based operation near Pak-Afghan border, Pakistan’s security forces recovered four abducted Iranian soldiers after an exchange of fire with Afghanistan-based terrorists.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the security forces conducted the operation at Amori in Chaghai district of Balochistan, about three to four kilometres from Pak-Afghan border, after receiving information that terrorists of a proscribed organisation had entered Pakistan from Afghanistan along with the abducted Iranian soldiers.
After an exchange of fire with the terrorists, the four Iranian soldiers were recovered from a transitioning hideout, the ISPR stated, adding that the soldiers were being handed over to the Iranian authorities.
