Law and order

THERE is too much going on in Karachi. With the Pakistan Super League going on, we have regular traffic issues. Roads are being dug up and several buildings are either being demolished or built from scratch. In the middle of this chaos, I don’t know if anyone has noticed — the city’s law and order situation has worsened and I fear it won’t get any better.

If it continues like this, we won’t be the third or fourth most dangerous city in the world — we will have the top slot.

I know of people who are scared of going outside after the sunsets. They ask their girls come home before Maghrib. Many young boys are not allowed to go out at night — can you imagine being young and having to sit at home while your friends play cricket outside?

People complain of robberies, muggings and other things to the police but no action is being taken.

I hope the prime minister and the governor of Sindh will look into this issue. Maybe it is time to bring the Rangers back?
