Provision of anti-rabies vaccine ordered

LAHORE: Chief Secretary Yousaf Naseem Khokhar on Saturday took notice of dog-bite incidents and non-availability of anti-rabies vaccine in hospitals, asking the authorities to look into the matter.

Presiding over a meeting, he directed the local government secretary to launch a special campaign for protection of people in the suburbs and katchi abadis where most dog-bite incidents took place.

He said all necessary facilities would be ensured in hospitals for victims of dog bite. He also issued instructions to DCs to devise a plan to eliminate stray dogs.
