Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has thanked US President Donald Trump for his statement in support of Pak-India reconciliation, and said that he welcomes "whoever extends their hand for peace".

"I told Mike Pompeo the regional situation. Last night Trump said that relations with Pakistan have improved and and he does not want tensions in the region. I thank him for that. Whoever extends their hand for peace we will applaud that." — Shah Mahmood Qureshi
