Lawyers, traders condemn Indian aggression

ISLAMABAD: Lawyers and traders in the twin cities staged a protest on Wednesday against Indian aggression and expressed solidarity with the armed forces.

An Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA) meeting, which was presided over by its president Raja Inam Amin Minhas, resolved that the nation was united in defending the motherland, and the lawyers’ community was standing shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces.

The resolution condemned the Indian aggression and said violation of Line of Control by the Indian Air Force was a shameful act.

The district bar associations of Islamabad and Rawalpindi also took out rallies and chanted slogans in support of Pakistan Army.

They also praised the timely response of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) that shot down Indian fighter jets that intruded into Pakistani territory.

Similarly, the traders of Raja Bazaar staged a protest against the Indian aggression.

They said people were united with the armed forces in the defence of the country.

More than 300 traders brought out a rally from Purana Qila to Fawwara Chowk.

The rally was led by Rawalpindi Traders Association (RTA) President Sharjeel Mir, Sheikh Saddique and Chaudhry Mohammad Iqbal.

The participants of the rally were chanting slogans against India and in favour of Pakistan Army and Air Force.

Meanwhile, workers of Water and Sanitation Agency also brought out a rally from the agency’s offices to Liaquat Bagh in support of the armed forces.
