ISLAMABAD: Top seed Huzaifa Abdul Rehman of Pakistan continued with his impressive form on Friday when he outclassed Berk Ulas Enc of Turkey in the boys singles semi-final of the Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking Tennis Championship here at the PTF Complex.

Huzaifa faces Kuwait’s Bader Alabdullah in the decider.

Looking in fine touch, Huzaifa crushed Berk Ulas Enc in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.

In the other semi-final, Alabdullah overwhelmed his compatriot Essa Qabazard, also in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

Meanwhile, fourth seeded pair of Berk Ulas Enc and his compatriot Togan Makzume annexed the boys doubles title by beating top seed Pakistani duo of Huzaifa and Sohaib Khan in a thrilling three-set match 1-6, 7-6(3), 11-9.

The Hong Kong pair of Kit Yi Kaye Au-Yeung and Erica Kanna Hagi clinched the girls doubles title after beating fourth seeded duo of Anjalika Kurera and Hannah Seen Ean Yip 6-7(2), 7-6(3), 10-8.

In the girls singles, third seed Aysegul Mert of Turkey stunned Korea’s Ji Hyun Kang 6-2, 6-0 in the semi-final.

Arina Valitova of Russia struggled to beat Sri Lanka’s Anjalika Kurera 6-2, 7-5 in the other semi-final.

Earlier, Berk Ulas Enc combined with compatriot Togan Makzume to overcome the Pakistani pair of Abdullah Adnan and Ahmed Kamil 3-6, 7-6(8), 10-4 in an exciting boys doubles semi-final.

In the other last-four match, Shoaib Khan and Huzaifa Abdul Rehman of Pakistan outplayed Kuwait’s pair of Ali Alshati and Essa Qabazard 6-2, 6-2.
