Pakistan-SL blind cricket series begins today
COLOMBO: The trophy unveiling ceremony of the Pakistan-Sri Lanka blind cricket series of three ODIs was held here on Tuesday.
Pakistan captain Nisar Ali and Sri Lankan skipper Priyantha Kumara as well as Secretary Cricket Association of the Blind, Chaminda Pushpakumara, Pakistan team manager Salman Bukhari and head coach Mohammad Jameelwere present on the occasion.
Nisar said it is the first tour of Sri Lanka for his team and the players are determined to perform well.
“The Sri Lankan team is good and we are not taking them lightly at all,” he said.
Priyantha said Pakistan blind cricket team is easily one of the best in the world and have lot of experienced and talented players. “However, our team has also prepared well for the ODI series and will give tough time to the opposition,” he said.
The opening match of the ODI series will be played at MCA ground here on Thursday.
