Blind cricketers leave for Colombo tomorrow

LAHORE: A 14-member Pakistan blind cricket squad is slated to leave for Colombo on Thursday for a series of three one-dayers and as many T20 games from Feb 22 to March 1 against their Sri Lankan counterparts.

Coach Mohammad Jamil said a six-day training camp was organised at the Gymkhana Club Ground in Okara from Feb 13 to 18.

Pakistan skipper Nisar Ali said on Tuesday that the team is well prepared for the first-ever tour of the island.

The tour opens with the first one-dayer at the MCA Ground in Colombo before the remaining two matches are played at the BRC Ground on Feb 23 and the Bloomfield Cricket and Athletics Club Ground on Feb 25.

The T20 fixtures are scheduled for Feb 27, Feb 28 and March 1.

Squad: Nisar Ali (captain), Sajid Nawaz, Riasat Khan, Zafar Iqbal, Fakhar Abbas, Shafiullah, Mutiaullah, Ayub Khan, Badar Munir, Moin Aslam, Shahzeb Hyder, Mohsin Khan, Mohammad Ijaz, Sanaullah, Mohammad Rashid.
