Projects worth Rs60m tendered in Lower Dir

TIMERGARA: The Timergara municipal administration on Tuesday tendered 96 development projects worth Rs60 million.

The bidding process was held at the TMA office Balambat with tehil nazim Riaz Mohammad in the chair.

The projects include repair work at Timergara bus stand, water supply, street pavement, construction of footpath and link roads.

On the occasion, nazim Riaz Mohammad asked the contractors to complete the projects within stipulated time. He said there would be no compromise on quality of work.

THESIS DEFENDED: A young scholar, Mohammad Islam, successfully defended his PhD research at Islamic studies department, the University of Malakand, the other day.

According to a notification issued by the varsity on Tuesday, the scholar successfully defended his thesis on the topic of ‘Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW)’. Prof Dr Janas Khan was his supervisor while Prof Atta ur Rehman acted as his co-supervisor.

Mr Islam, who is a schoolteacher, termed the success as a result of his hard work and prayers of parents and teachers.
