Power to remain suspended

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company on Friday announced six hours of power suspension in parts of the provincial metropolis due to maintenance work on the transmission lines.

According to a statement issued here, the power supply will remain suspended from 9am to 3pm in Deans Heights, Hayatabad 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Kyber 1, 2, Shaukat Khanum, Hyatabad Surgical, Greenwood, Cellwood on Feb 16, 18, 20, 23, 25 and 27.

It was stated that the consumers of Warsak Road 1, 2, Jail Express, ICF 1, 2 will also suffer from 9am to 3pm on Feb 17, 19, 21 and 24.

Meanwhile, the power company suspended power supply to 29 consumers for their involvement in power theft. It was reported that Rs1.5 million was recovered, 20 power meters were seized due to non-payment and tampering with meters. In addition, cases were registered against 29 people.
