Five hurt in fire

KARACHI: A man and his son were among five persons who sustained burn injuries when a fire erupted in a junk dealer’s shop in Orangi Town.

The fire was controlled after hectic efforts lasting several hours, police and fire brigade officials said on Thursday.

The blaze erupted in the scrap godown located in Sector 11-E of Orangi Town-5 at 1.10am.

The injured persons were identified as Noor Mohammad, 30; Rozi Khan; his son Sanaullah, 25; Ali Sher, 28, and Ejaz Ahmed, 20. The fire destroyed the shop.
