Nepal women’s team beat Pakistan in blind T20 to take series 4-0
ISLAMABAD: Nepal women’s blind cricket team outplayed Pakistan by ten wickets to win the fifth T20 match here on Monday and take the series 4-0.
Pakistan once again won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 126 for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Nisah Bux was the top scorer with 40 while Tayyaba Fatima scored 27. All six players were run out.
Nepal, in reply, easily chased the target in just 10.4 overs without loss of any wickets. Mankisi played brilliantly and remained unbeaten on 81 off 36 balls with the help of 15 boundaries. Asha Regmi remained 32 not out.
Earlier, on Sunday, in the fourth T20 Nepal beat Pakistan.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first to score 101- 7 in allotted 20 overs. Sadia Khalid was the top scorer with 20 runs and Kiran Rafique made 16 runs. Mona, Binitia and Aayushma claimed a wicket a piece.
Nepal in reply achieved the target in just 8.5 overs for the loss of one wicket. Bimla Rai played wonderfully for her 42 not out off just 15 balls. Mona remained not out on 22.
Mona Aryal of Nepal was declared player of the series while Mankisi was named player of the match. Pakistan’s Kiran Rafique was the best wicketkeeper while Asha Regmi of Nepal was most valuable player.
Faryal Sadiq, Vice President Interloop Ltd, Syed Sultan Shah Chairman PBCC, Maryam Orangzaib MNA, Neil Bhune United’s Nation Resident Coordinator, Zahid Bhatti Managing Director GHPL and Ishrat Masood Director General Federal Special Education were the guests of honour on the occasion and distributed prizes amongst the players.
