Windies series a much needed momentum: Coles

KARACHI: Pakistan women cricket team’s head coach Mark Coles believes that the result for his team could have been better in the T20 series against the visiting West Indies.

Talking to this correspondent, Coles however said the Pakistan girls need to learn quickly.

“I think victory in the last T20 gives us a bit of momentum but we need to keep learning to control pressure situations,” Coles said.

“With the exception of game one we have played some really good cricket to tie a game and lose in the super over was tough but to show true resilience and come back to win was a fantastic result,” he added.

Pakistan women beat West Indies in the third and final T20 here by 12 runs.

The West Indies won the T20 series 2-1 and both the sides will now play three ODIs on Feb 7, 9 and 11 in Dubai.

The Pakistan head coach also commended the gesture shown by the West Indies to tour Pakistan, which he said sent positive vibes around the globe.
