Employee in attorney general's office dies after falling from 4th floor of Sindh High Court building

An employee of the attorney general's office lost his life after falling from the fourth floor of the Sindh High Court in Karachi on Monday.

According to Attorney General of Pakistan Anwar Mansoor Khan, Asif had been working at the office for 27 years.

Police said they are investigating to ascertain whether Asif's death is a case of suicide or something else.

His colleague told police that shortly before he had died, Asif had handed his daughter his cellphone and watch.

Asif's body was sent to a hospital for a post-mortem examination, police said.

Attorney General Khan, while speaking to the media, described the deceased as a hardworking and dutiful man. "The country needs such people," he said.

Khan added that police is coordinating with his office and the incident is being investigated. "There is CCTV footage, the police will find out [what happened]," the attorney general said.

Asif, a resident of FC Area, is survived by three children, police said.
