NAB files case against ex-officials of Kidney Centre, Workers’ Welfare Board

QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a reference against former officials of Kidney Centre and the Workers Welfare Board in an accountability court for their alleged involvement in embezzlement of public funds.

A NAB spokesman said that references had been filed against former secretary of labour and chairman of Workers Welfare Board, Quetta, Khawaja Mohammad Siddique; former secretary of Workers Welfare Board Mumtaz Ali Khan; former administrator of Kidney Centre, Quetta, Dr Ameer Muhammad Jogezai; former accountant Manzoor Ahmed; former director of works and consultant of Workers Welfare Board Mohammad Ishaq; Dr Hameed and Mohammad Yasin in the accountability court.

During investigation into the alleged misuse of funds in Kidney Centre, Quetta, the NAB claimed that massive embezzlement was found in purchase of machinery and equipment.

The judge of the Accountability Court, Quetta-1, Munawar Ahmed Shahwani, has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for all the accused in the corruption case.
