SHC seeks report on murder of Thatta girl

KARACHI: Sindh High Court Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M. Shaikh on Tuesday directed a deputy inspector general of police to submit a report within three days about the murder of a girl allegedly during a police raid in Thatta.

The chief justice had taken notice of the media reports about the murder of 14-year-old Abida Mallah last month in Pir Patho village, Thatta. The reports reflected that the victim sustained fatal wounds from shots fired by police during a raid, it added.

The chief justice called a report from the Hyderabad DIG within three days.
