SAHIWAL: Three members of a family were killed and four others critically injured in a road accident near Fato Mor on the Lahore-Multan motorway late on Thursday.

Motorway police sources said that an over-speeding bus hit a car from the rear side due to fog and low visibility. Rescue 1122 took 40 minutes to recover bodies from the wrecked car. They shifted the injured to DHQ teaching hospital.

The victims belonged to Burewala city and were returning from Sialkot after attending a wedding. Those who died were identified as Kishwar Bibi (50), Aqeel (24) and Naveed (12). The injured were Iqrar, Kashif, Husnain and Marriam.

Rescue sources said there were no casualties in the bus.
