Medical officers being appointed in hospitals

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU) on Tuesday began interviewing candidates to fill 100 medical officers’ vacancies in three allied hospitals.

RMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.Muhammad Umer headed the committee while all the medical superintendents of Holy family Hospital, Benazir Bhutto Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital were its members.

As many as 375 candidates had applied for 100 posts and the selection would be made on merit.

The medical officers would be at the disposal of medical superintendents of the hospitals.

The Punjab government granted the permission to recruit the medical officers on ad hoc basis.
