ACE, CTP start drive against corruption

RAWALPINDI: The Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) and the City Traffic Police (CTP) have sought the public’s assistance in curbing corruption in government departments and on Sunday put posters on rickshaws inscribed with various slogans.

A CTP spokesperson said in a press release that anyone who has a complaint against a government official for corrupt practices should call senior police officials and ACE so legal action can be initiated against them.

He said Chief Traffic Officer Mohammad Bin Ashraf and ACE Regional Director Arif Rehman have started off a public awareness campaign against corruption by displaying banners on the back of rickshaws.

Slogans such as “Punjab Anti Corruption Department is committed to end corruption” and “You can stop corruption” have been inscribed on the banners.

The ACE regional director said the aim is to communicate the message to people in the heart of the city as rickshaws go deep into the city.
