HARIPUR: Three people, including two women, died in a road accident near Panian here on Wednesday.

According to witnesses and police, a car coming from Abbottabad hit a roadside tree near Panian police post while trying to save some women crossing the road.

The accident was so severe that all the three persons on board the car died on the spot.

The identity of the victims, however, could not be ascertained, police said, as they had no ID cards with them.

The police and rescue workers recovered the bodies after cutting the twisted metal and shifted them to DHQ Hospital.
