PTI’s ‘honeymoon period’ over: Siraj

LAHORE: The honeymoon period of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government is over and now it should get down to the serious business of governance, says Jamaat-i-Islami Emir Senator Sirajul Haq.

Addressing the JI central leaders at Mansoora here on Tuesday, he said nobody was satisfied with the performance of the government till now as it had only caused price hike and made life difficult for the masses.

Sirajul Haq said the Jamaat would make every sacrifice for safeguarding Namoos-i-Risalat and also the Islamic character of the country.

The JI, he said, would organise the youth for the purpose of safeguarding the Pakistan ideology so that [our] coming generations could be able to lead their lives as staunch Muslims.

LIAQUAT: Secretary General Liaquat Baloch has said that the sugar mill owners are continuing with the exploitation of cane growers by delaying crushing.

In a statement here on Tuesday, he said the tussle between the millers and the government institutions was causing heavy losses to growers. Sugarcane was lying outside mills and it was losing weight to the detriment of growers.
