Indonesia keen to invest in energy sector

KARACHI: Indonesia is not only ready to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Pakistan but also wants to invest in energy sector to help overcome the country’s energy crisis.

Indonesian Ambassador Raudin Anwar heading a high-level diplomatic and business delegation from his country stated this during a visit to Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) on Tuesday.

The envoy said that many Indonesian investors are willing to establish palm oil derivative products industry. besides technological assistance to Pakistan in establishing industry and training manpower.

KATI President Danish Khan said for achieving a favourable trade balance, he said, many untapped areas of trade and industry, particularly leather and shoe making, could be explored.
