Teachers’ body office-bearers elected

BATTAGRAM: Hashim Khan was elected president of All Primary Teachers Association’s Battagram chapter and Javed Iqbal general secretary, while for the tehsil cabinet Mohammad Nawab was elected president and Abdul Hameed general secretary for the next three years.

In this regard, a meeting was held at the government primary school, Ajmera, where primary school teachers from all union councils of the district participated.

On this occasion, Mr Hashim said that he would work for protection of the primary school teacher’s rights. He said that genuine problems of teachers would be taken up with the authorities for their resolution.

Meanwhile, traffic police launched an operation against law violators here on Friday.

Traffic police in-charge Shamraiz Khan said that they had launched the operation against underage driving and vehicles plying on local roads without number plates and documents.

He said that they had fined hundreds of vehicle owners, while a number of motorcycles were impounded to check underage driving. He appealed to the parents not to give bike or other vehicle to their children. He said that the operation was started for ensuring public safety.
