MULTAN: The City Police Officer on Tuesday suspended four officials of Gulgasht Police Station after an accused raped a 15-year old boy, also an accused, in the police lockup.

The policemen who have been suspended for negligence are SHO Hafizur Rehman, ASI Muhammad Ashraf, a muharir and a constable.

Kotwali police have registered an FIR against the accused who raped the boy on Sunday night. The boy was arrested some four days ago in a case of minor clash.

CPO Munir Masood Marath took notice after the matter was brought into his knowledge.

The Cantonment DSP said samples of both the victim and accused had been sent for laboratory analysis.
