PEF releases funds for 3,597 schools

LAHORE: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) on Saturday released the monthly funds of the 3,597 schools under an initiative.

PEF Managing Director Imran Yaqub said the foundation had started providing funds to the affiliated schools. He was chairing a weekly coordination meeting regarding the review of performance at his office.

Meanwhile, the matters related to the data of the position holders of secondary classes in the BISE, plan of annual Quality Assurance Test (QAT) and attested fresh documents of partner schools were discussed by the participants.

Mr Yaqub said the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) results of grades 9 and 10 were showing the quality of their affiliated institutions. He said they would continue to provide quality education to children of the province.

The MD asked the owners of the PEF partner schools to submit the attested documents of their schools regarding partnership agreement after renewal from respective departments.

PEF spokesperson said the data related to secondary students would be required to register online by the school administration in the Student Information System (SIS), while the last date for provision of the information is Nov 20.

She said the process of updating documents related to partner schools such as the CNIC, school registration certificates, affiliation certificate from the relevant board, the legal rent deed of school building and property papers should also be completed till deadline of Nov 30.
