JUI-S workers stage rallies against Sami’s assassination

KARAK: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) workers on Friday took out rallies to demand arrest of the killers of slain party chief Maulana Samiul Haq.

JUI-S, Karak chapter workers took out a rally and blocked the Karak-Bannu road to demand arrest of the killers of the Maulana.

The protesters led by party’s district president Maulana Sabz Ali and former MNA Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz gathered at Peer Odeen Shah Mosque, and then marched on the roads before being culminated in Karak city.

Demand early arrest of killers

The protesters carried placards inscribed with slogans demanding arrest of the killers of Samiul Haq. They expressed dissatisfaction over the investigation into the case.

In Shangla, activists of various religious and political parties staged a protest against the assassination of Maulana Samiul Haq. The protesters gathered at Bisham Chowk on the Karakoram Highway while carrying banners and placards inscribed with their demands for early arrest of the killers of the Maulana.

The speakers, including JUI-S district emir Maulana Fazal Subhan, alleged that the incumbent government was responsible for the assassination of the JUI-S chief as the noted religious figure was killed in his house in broad daylight.

Rallies were also held in Alpuri, Puran and Chakesar against the killing of the of JUI-S chief.

In Battagram, people on the call of JUI-S’s local chapter, came onto the roads to condemn the rutal killing of the party chief.

The protesters gathered at the Katcheri Chowk on the KKH, holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans demanding early arrest of the killers.

The speakers demanded of the PTI federal government to direct the Punjab government for early arrest of the Maulana’s killers. They said Maulana Sami throughout his life struggled for peace and unity of the country. He was a true guardian of the ideological boundaries of Pakistan, they remarked.

They alleged that foreign elements were involved in the Maulana’s assassination. They said delay in arrest of the killers could create law and order across the country.

The participant prayed for the departed soul and then dispersed peacefully.
