“Boat Basin police arrested a suspect, Arslan Qamar who runs ‘dirty night’ (couple swapping) campaign on social media,” added the officer.

According to the police, the suspect was arrested under a well-planned strategy and cash was also recovered from him.

During interrogation, the suspect disclosed that he had been running such ‘fake programme’ on social media and earning huge money.

The police registered the FIR (557/2018) under section 420/25-D of Telegraph Act and were trying to arrest his accomplices.

SP Aziz said that this action was part of the police’s recently launched campaign titled ‘rescuing youth, saving future.’

Under this campaign, the police were trying to save youths from drugs, Sheesha smoking, misuse of social media, gambling, one-wheeling and bike racing.

Separately, the police arrested two suspected drug peddlers Mehran Shahzad and Abdul Ghayas and seized hashish from their custody.

They were involved in selling drugs in Clifton and Defence areas.

Furthermore, the police registered three cases against ‘Sheesha bars’ in Clifton while 10 underage bike-riders were detained.
