Assassination of JUI-S chief condemned

SWABI: Leaders of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Sami, JUI-F and Jamaat-i-Islami on Saturday condemned the assassination of Maulana Samiul Haq and demanded early arrest of the killers by law enforcement agencies.

In separate statements, they said that it was the responsibility of the government to provide security to the people and leaders of political parties. They called for unity to foil designs of those who wanted to harm Pakistan and its masses.

JUI-F central deputy chief Maunala Fazal Ali said that the assassination of JUI-S chief Maulana Samiul Haq had proved the failure of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government.

Mohammad Jamil advocate, former district head of JUI-S, said that what would be the fate of ordinary people when the religious leaders were not safe. JI district chief Mehmoodul Hassan said that those who assassinated Maulana Sami wanted to harm the country.

In Shangla, workers of different religious parties took to the streets to condemn the assassination of Maulana Samiul Haq.

They held rallies in Bisham city, Alpuri, Puran, Chakesar and other parts of Shangla. They chanted slogans against the government and demanded immediate arrest of killers of the JUI-S chief. The protesters included Qari Mushtaq, Qari Sardar and others.

The speakers threatened to start agitation if killers of Maulana Sami were not arrested within a couple of days.
