Govt asked to set up courts in tribal districts

PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party chairman Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has urged the government to implement the decision of the Peshawar High Court and establish courts in the newly-merged tribal districts within 30 days to ensure provision of easy justice to the tribal people without further delay.

In a statement issued here on Friday, the QWP chief said that the people of tribal districts had been suffering due to lack of interest on part of the government to implement the reforms and bring a real change in their lives.

He said that the government was bound to implement the reforms but it was using delaying tactics in this regard and that was why unrest among the people was fast increasing.

He said that with the directives of high court a ray of hope had emerged for the people that they would be able to get justice.

Mr Sherpao said that his party would soon launch a mass contact campaign in different tribal districts and hold public meetings to renew its support to the people for raising voice for their due constitutional rights.

He said that if the rulers were really sincere to rid the tribal people of black laws and to provide them justice at their doorsteps then the reforms should be implemented in real sense and at the earliest.
