Uproar in Balochistan Assembly

QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly witnessed uproar on Monday evening when the government asked the house to exempt the draft bill of Gwadar University from Regulation 84.

Opposition members during a heated discussion said that they were not given enough time to go through the draft bill. “We have not studied the draft bill,” said Nasarullah Zerey of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party.

He said he wanted to hand over the draft to a special committee which should be formed comprising both opposition and treasury members to make it perfect for the approval.

Sana Baloch of Balochistan National Party-Mengal said that his party was not against the bill, but it would like to make the draft perfect by removing legal flaws.

Minister for Higher Education and Information Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi while tabling the bill asked opposition members to support it.
