Sindh information dept raided, record seized by NAB

KARACHI: The Na­tio­nal Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi on Friday conducted a raid at offices of the Sindh Information Department, interrogated officers and seized relevant records in connection with three alleged corruption cases, Dawn has learnt.

Sources familiar with this development told Dawn that a NAB team raided the information department offices at the Sindh Secretariat.

The team comprising four officials of NAB visited the office of the director of advertisements and inquired about records.

The officials of the provincial government namely Zulfiqar Shah, Azeem Shah and others were interrogated.

“Currently, there are three inquiries pending with NAB against the information department,” revealed the sources.

During the raid, NAB officials had taken away a number of files related to inquiries.
