‘The future of work’

THIS is apropos the article ‘The Future of work’ (Sept 17). The writer has done well to apprise the government about the future demand of workers across the world. The government with its resources can create technicians for future work equipped with latest techno-work practices and machine-to-machine learning trends.

There is no denying the fact that an ordinary computer can perform the duties of a hundred ordinary workers, but a hundred computers cannot perform the functions of an extraordinary worker. We need to re-navigate the direction with a pragmatic approach to produce such extraordinary workers.

Pakistan possesses public and private sector institutes, schools, universities and industrial establishments that impart technical skills and offer hands-on experience to Pakistani youth.

Pakistan is blessed with human resources that can be turned into economic dividend if they are capitalised with demand-driven training. Rest assured, it is Pakistani workers who will turn tomorrow’s dreams into reality, with commitment and vision. Our development lies in high-end technology training.
