Azad Academy win

KARACHI: Azad Cricket Academy beat Sherwani Academy by eight wickets here in the NBP inter-academy under-17 cricket tournament on Friday.

Put in to bat at the NBP Sports Complex pitch, Sherwani Academy scored 91-9 in the stipulated overs. Zaeem Rizvi with a fine 31 was the top scorer. Taha Siddiqui and Abdullah Ghauri bagged two wickets each. In reply, Azad Academy reached the target easily in 16 overs for the loss of just two wickets. Arbaz Khan (39) played a breezy knock to win the game for his team.

Former hockey international Arshad Hussain was the chief guest on the occasion.
