NAGPUR: The Council of the All-India States Muslim League which concluded its two-day session in Nagpur discussed mainly questions relating to the Kashmir state. The council passed a lengthy resolution strongly protesting against the ban on the entry of its resident Nawab Bahadur Yarjung, demanding the appointment as Prime-minister of the State of a man who commanded the confidence of all communities and appealing to the Government of India to exert its influence to improve the present situation in Kashmir. The Council also decided to reconsider in the first week of November Kashmir’s problems and “to discuss some effective line of action” to be followed by the States League and Allied bodies.

The Council by another resolution demanded an enquiry into the recent firing in Jammu and relief to victims and expressed the view that the firing was a result of political and economic distress.

The third resolution protested against the arrest of Chaudhry Chulamnabi, President of Jamkhandi State Muslim League.

The Council decided to hold the Fifth Annual Session of the States Muslim League during Christmas in Karachi.
