SHEIKHUPURA: Scores of people of Jalalpur Arainwala blocked Sharqpur Road on Saturday in protest at the assassination of a villager by gunmen on Friday.

Maqbool and his wife Shazia were riding a motorcycle when four gunmen held them at a picket and tried to rob them of valuables. On resistance, the gunmen opened fire, killing Maqbool and injuring his wife Shazia.
