PESHAWAR: The annual elections of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) for the session 2018-19 will be held on Sept 24.

According to a statement issued here on Tuesday, the election would be for the posts of SCCI president, senior vice-president and vice-president.

It was stated that 11-member executive committee of the chamber had already been named unopposed. The winners of all the posts, including five members of Corporate Group of the committee, five Associate Group members and one member on the women reserved seat, were associated with the Businessmen Group.

For the five Corporate Group, the election commission declared Malik Imran Ishaq, Saad Khan Zahid, Aftab Iqbal, Mohammad Shafiq Afridi and Shahid Hussain elected unopposed as executive committee members.

Likewise, Faiz Mohammad, Sanaullah Khan, Shamsur Rahim, Mohammad Altaf Baig and Ihsanullah were elected unopposed as members of the SCCI executive committee. On the reserved seat for women, Mubarak Begum was elected unopposed.
