Three MCI officials suspended

ISLAMABAD: Mayor Sheikh Anser Aziz on Friday suspended three officials of environment wing of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) for poor performance.

The mayor visited various sectors and found that environment wing has failed to remove growing bushes and gross in Islamabad. In a recent MCI sessions, local government representatives criticised MCI over its failure to remove bushes, grass and wild plants.

Apparently the criticism forced mayor to visit various sectors to see the situation on ground and found that environment wing staff hardly paid any attention to growing bushes and gross.

The mayor suspended Assistant director Ishfaq Noori, forester Abdul Jalil and forest guard Nazim Shah.

He also sought explanation from director environment Irfan Niazi, director Ghizwan Shamshad and director Akhtar Rasool as to why they failed to remove bushes and gross. The mayor directed the environment wing to start to remove all wild bushes and gross.
