78 women gave birth in Aman ambulances

THATTA: As many as 78 women delivered babies within last 18 months onboard ambulances being operated by the Aman Foundation in Thatta and Sujawal districts, according to sources in the ambulance service.

The sources disclosed to Dawn on Thursday that the service had so far catered to 29,332 cases, including 20,000 serious cases and transported them to Karachi hospitals from two civil hospitals, three taluka hospitals and eight rural health centers in the two districts.

The number did not include special operations carried out during road accidents on holidays involving picnickers and passengers on National Highway and link roads, said the sources.
