LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Dr Syed Kaleem Imam on Friday issued an order for changing names of all the unrecognisable police stations across Punjab and directed the senior officers to suggest new names.

According to the letter sent by the IGP office to all the regional police officers (RPOs) and DPOs, new names of police stations should be proposed in accordance with history and culture of the areas while local landmarks and heroes could also be considered while suggesting the new names.
