Promotion cases of CDA officers sent to CADD

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has referred the promotion cases of its seven senior officers to the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD).

The officers, including Humayun Akhtar, Sajjad Zaidi, Hafiz Mohammad Ehsan and Dr Shahid Mahmood, deserved to be appointed on the posts of member - a grade 20 position.

However, their promotion cases were pending. Meanwhile, the CDA officials also filed a case against member engineering Hafiz Ahmed Bakhsh in Islamabad High Court (IHC) and obtained a stay order.

“We have several officers in grade 19 whose promotion is due but officers from other departments, who are junior to us, used to get the posts of members in the CDA. This is injustice with us,” said an official who requested not be named.

CDA spokesman Malik Saleem said cases of several officers in grade 19 had been sent to CADD a few days ago.

“We are hopeful the officers will be promoted soon,” he said.
